Overview

Network Sidebar for UniFi helps IT teams troubleshoot Wi-Fi issues faster by displaying access point information directly in Zendesk. When a user reports "the Wi-Fi isn't working in room M305", you can instantly see the AP status, channels, and client count.

The app uses a location field on your tickets to look up matching access points by their naming convention.

Features

  • Room-Based Lookup - Matches ticket location field to AP names (e.g., "M305" finds "MON-M305-AP01")
  • AP Status - Online/offline indicator at a glance
  • Wireless Details - 2.4GHz and 5GHz channel info with channel widths
  • Client Count - See how many devices are connected
  • Device Info - Model, IP address, MAC address, firmware version
  • Uplink Status - Which switch port the AP is connected to
  • Flexible Matching - Configure search pattern (contains, starts with, ends with, exact)
  • Real-Time Data - Information fetched live from UniFi Network
